This thread will host the most current accepted offers in compromise from sales tax debtors. The documents attached cover a time period from May of 2008 through January 23rd of 2009.

Taxpayer Name

Natalie Cintas-Gladnick

Amount of Unpaid Tax, Penalties and Interest

$765,875.78

Amount Offered on Behalf of the Taxpayer

$25,000.00

Why the Compromise is in the Best Interests of the State of California

The amount of the accepted offer, $25,000.00, represents the most the
state can expect to collect from the taxpayer's assets or income within a
reasonable period of time. The taxpayer does not have reasonable
prospects of acquiring increased income or assets that would enable the
taxpayer to satisfy a greater amount of liability than the compromised
amount within a reasonable amount of time.

These documents represent the most recent settlements the State Board of Equalization has agreed to in Sales tax disputes with retailers or wholesalers. These are not usually connected to the Offer in Compromise program

Pursuant to authority provided in the California Revenue and
Taxation Code Section 7093.5, a settlement has been entered into
in the following matter:

Taxpayer's Name

ScanSource Inc

Account Number

SR OHB 97-628622
Total Amount In dispute

$839, 483.93

Total Amount Agreed To Pursuant To Settlement

$664, 483.93

v. WHY SETTLEMENT IS IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE STATE OF

CALIFORNIA

After considering the hazards of litigation, it has been
concluded that the amount of the settlement outweighs the
risks of proceeding with this case.
The Attorney General has concluded in writing that the
settlement is reasonable from an overall perspective.
