Homeland Security Threat Level: YELLOW (ELEVATED)

A system in the Northwest will result in snow in the Great Basin and southern California, with rain expected along the southern coast. This system is forecast to expand into the Central Rockies and parts of the Upper Midwest into Tuesday.

There is a chance for freezing rain/rain mixed over parts of the Middle Missouri Valley on Tuesday morning.

Showers and thunderstorms will develop over the western Gulf Coast this morning and expand into the Southern Plains/Central Gulf Coast by Tuesday.
